A North Yorkshire brand's take on a German Oktoberfest will see sausage dogs dressed in their best outfits this weekend in a battle to win a golden sausage trophy.

The wiener will take all at HECK!'s Bedale HQ in North Yorkshire this Saturday September 30 as the company invites locals and their dachshund dogs to join in with celebrations.

Between 2 and 8pm, attendees will be treated to food, steins of beer, and entertainment from the Yorkshire Oompah Band.

For the event, HECK! is inviting people coming along to the event to bring their ‘best dressed’ sausage dogs, where the coveted ‘Wiener Takes It All’ trophy and some scrummy sausages await one lucky Daxie.

"We are a team of sausage dog lovers and thought we’d share some inspiration for other owners ahead of the event" explains team member Ruby Parkyn.

"Our models had a lot of fun dressing up and they were perfectly behaved. After all their hard work, they enjoyed some of their favourite treats and got to relax in our on-site dog hotel!"

Last year, dachshund Danby took the Golden Sausage Trophy home after winning the dash competition.

But, this year, speed is out of the question as the event will see a wave of dapper dogs dressed up in their finest clothing, eagerly awaiting to find out who will be crowned top of the pups.
