A man has appeared in court following an incident in which a quadbike was allegedly driven at a police officer leaving him with fractures to his leg.
Glenn Burdess, 27, of Pentland Close, Peterlee, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court charged with a series of offences.

The 27-year-old was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving with no insurance, in Peterlee, on September 13.
He was not asked to pleade to the charges.

Burdess was remanded in custody to appear at Durham Crown Court on October 24.
The hearing has been scheduled for a plea hearing and directions.
