A North East McDonald's restaurant has confirmed that it will be closing for a month in a matter of weeks to carry out refurbishment works.
Consett's McDonald's on Genesis Way will be closing its doors at the end of October for a month of refurbishment works.
The fast-food giant has said it will be implementing its 'Convenience of the Future' restaurant revamp in Consett that will see a new restaurant layout and technology installed.

Those in the area who still wish to get McDonald's will soon have to travel to Stanley's restaurant on Clifford Road.
Whilst it has been confirmed the restaurant will be closing, no specific re-opening date has been set at this time.
Gareth Pearson, McDonald’s UK&I COO said: "The pace of change within the restaurant industry is relentless, and the pandemic accelerated this with digital adoption gathering greater pace.
"Our customers rightly expect to have a choice in how and where they order and collect their food, and our job is to ensure that every experience is a great one.
"For this to be the case, we know we also have to provide our restaurant teams and delivery partners with the best possible environment to work in.
"We strongly believe we have to continue to invest to grow, and this investment not only addresses how customers are ordering now but provides us with a platform to continue to adapt in the future, whatever that innovation looks like."
