An appeal has been launched after an assault inside the terminal of a North East airport as police release image.
Northumbria Police have release an image of a woman they wish to trace following a reported assault inside a terminal at Newcastle International Airport on the morning of May 28.
Police have confirmed enquiries are currently ongoing into the alleged assault.
The assault was reported to police by a member of the public who witnessed the incident.

Officers have released the image of the woman who was in the terminal at the time of the assault and could have valuable information which could assist the investigation.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating an assault at Newcastle International Airport have released the image of a woman who they would like to trace.
"Enquiries are ongoing into a report of an assault inside the terminal on the morning of May 28.
"The assault was reported to police by a member of the public who witnessed the alleged attack.

"Now, as part of their enquiries, officers have released the image of a woman who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident."
The woman, or anyone who recognises her, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website or by calling 101 quoting crime number 064920S/23.
