One of the directors of popular ITV series Vera has confirmed the latest series has wrapped filming.
Jermain Julien, who was praised by Vera star Brenda Blethyn for his work on episode 53 of the show, confirmed on Saturday (September 16) series 13 has wrapped filming.
The director said the experience has been a "genuine honour" to work with the team.
He added he could not wait to share the episode with fervent Vera who are eagerly awaiting the next installment in the crime drama.

He said: "That’s a wrap on Vera Series 13.
"It was a genuine honour to be a part of this amazing team.
"I’m picture locked on my ep and can’t wait to share it with everyone, once we’ve done all the polishing bits."
Speaking on the director in July on Twitter, Blethyn praised Julien as a "total joy" and one of her favourite directors.

Blethyn said: "Just wrapped on Vera episode 53 directed by Jermain Julien.
"He’s shot into my list of favourite directors to work with.
"A total joy. thank you."
This will come as welcome news to fans of the show as the wait for more of the series continues following its last episode, The Darkest Evening, which aired in February this year.
Responding to Blethyn's post, one eager fan said: "This is wonderful news. We’ve seen every episode on Brit Box
"[We've] have had our fingers crossed that you’d be back for MORE Vera!
"Happy, relieved and delighted that we’re going back to Northumberland!"

Blethyn and the Vera crew were spotted across the North East filming for the new series last month.
Crews could be seen filming scenes in Redcar, Hexham, Wylam and North Shields in recent months.
