A driver has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg after a crash on the A19 in the early hours of Wednesday (September 20) morning.
Emergency services were called to the A-road at around 1am following reports of a collision at Seaton.
After arriving on the scene, police closed the road for several hours to investigate the incident and clear the debris, while paramedics also worked at the scene.

Durham Police have since confirmed that the incident involved only one car.
The ambulance service has also confirmed that the driver was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital with a suspected broken leg.
The road has now reopened.
