A rare opportunity has come up to rent a retail unit in a historic North East railway building.
The site at The Station, in Richmond, North Yorkshire will be available from 1st November, just in time for the busy Christmas trading period.
The Station is owned and operated by Richmondshire Building Preservation Trust, a charity that was formed in 2003 to save the old Richmond railway station, so all rent and service charges go straight back to them, to support the ongoing operation of The Station and investments in other heritage buildings at risk in Richmondshire.
The unit is currently occupied by the award-winning artisan bakery, The Angel’s Share, which will continue to trade from a consolidated production and retail unit next door.
General Manager of The Station Chris Brown said ‘The Station is home to several highly successful independent food producers, and has become a real hub for showcasing the finest local produce and creativity.
"This is an exciting opportunity for a producer of high-quality food and drink, to join The Station’s fantastic line up of independent businesses, in a prominent retail and production unit along the old station platform.’
The Station is a popular all-weather attraction for both tourists and locals, welcoming more than 330,000 visitors every year. The available unit has a prominent location between the side entrance, which sees 60,000+ footfall per year and the main door, which sees 270,000+ footfall per year.
