Today we name six people who were fined in court after failing to comply with community protection notices requiring them to remove waste from their gardens and yards.
Their cases were heard at Peterlee Magistrates' Court, where brought under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Magistrates were told they failed to follow the notices issued by Durham County Council,
Iain Dixon of Ashton Street, Easington Colliery Individual faile to comply with a community protection notice on or before December 14 2022 in respect of waste in the yard of premises.
The was was found proved in his absence. He was issued a fine of £220, along with a surcharge of £88 and costs of £418 – a total of £726
Stephanie Goodall of Marigold Crescent, Bournmoor, failed to comply with a community protection notice to remove waste from her yard on or before December 14, 2022
The case was proved in absence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £88 surcharge and £456 costs – a total of £764.00
Sergui Rusan of Millburn Street, Sunderland failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before January 2 in respect of waste in the yard of 2 Back Eldon Terrace, Chilton Lane, Ferryhill.
The case was proved in her absence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £88 and costs of £418 – a total of £726.00 |
Katie Marie Craggs of Amersham Crescent, Peterlee, failed to comply with a community protection notice on or before December 22, 2022 in respect of waste in the front and back of the property.
The case was proved in her absence. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay surcharge of £88 and costs of £330 – a total of £638.
