A fire has broken out near the site of a former popular pub, in Middlesbrough.
Cleveland Fire Brigade were alerted to a fire near the site of the former Parklands Pub, on Skippers Lane, in Normanby, at around 6.30 pm this evening (Sunday, September 17).
An outbuilding, measuring approximately 10 by 5 meters had caught fire, with plumes of smoke seen across the area as the shed quickly set alight.

The fire brigade was on the scene quickly, and the fire had been extinguished by 8 pm, using two hose reels.
Two fire engines attended the fire, and a spokesperson confirmed that no one had been injured in the blaze, despite its fierce appearance.
Currently, it is not known how the fire started.
