Two North East drivers have been named and fined in court this week after being caught speeding.
Ian Nicholas Collins, 49 of Bylands Way in Darlington, had his case heard before Peterlee Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 12.
He was caught on February 18 this year in Darlington speeding in his Mercedes on the A1150 in Great Burdon.
Collins was caught speeding above the 30mph speed limit.
He was found guilty following a Single Justice Procedure and fined £220.
He was also made to pay £88 to victim services and £90 in court costs and was endorsed with three points on his licence.
Meanwhile, Jason Catterall, aged 50, of Greenfields, Ferryhill in County Durham had his case heard before Peterlee Magistrates Court on the same day.
He was caught on March 8 at Cassop in County Durham speeding in his Vauxhall on the B6291 on Front Street.

Catterall was caught speeding above the 30mph speed limit on the road.
He was found guilty through a Single Justice Procedure and fined £169.
He was also made to pay £67 to victim services, £90 in court costs and his driving licence was endorsed with three points.
