Geordies gearing up for their side’s return to the Champions League will be able to watch the mags’ European fixtures on the big screen.
A new fanzone opening in the city will show each of NUFC’s Champions League away games on a huge screen – and it’s promising an atmosphere only Newcastle could deliver.
Hundreds of fans will be able to descend on NX, formerly the O2 Academy, to watch the side’s first European games in almost 20 years shoulder to shoulder with fellow supporters.

The fanzone is being run by those behind the Central Park which was packed out for last year’s World Cup.
Mike Hesketh, one of the project’s founders said: “We are absolutely thrilled to bring back the fanzone experience to the heart of Newcastle at NX Newcastle.
“We're all about creating an unforgettable atmosphere, and NX Newcastle provides the perfect stage for the mags to come together, support our lads, and relish the European adventure. Expect non-stop excitement, unforgettable moments, and an adult-only fanzone atmosphere like never before!”
Eddie Howe’s side will make the trip to Italy ahead of their first fixture on Tuesday (September 19) against AC Milan.
The game kicks off at 5.45pm with the fanzone opening an hour earlier.

It comes as plans for a new Stack fanzone at Strawberry Place look set to be given the green light this week. The plans, which are backed by the club and new front-of-shirt sponsor Sela, could be approved as soon as Friday.
Like the previous Stack in the city and at Seaburn it will be made up of shipping containers and is sure to draw huge crowds on matchdays.
