A County Durham corner shop and Post Office will change location after it was agreed that the facility would be moving into an empty premises nearby.
The Post Office announced on Friday (September 15) that its branch on Redworth Road in Shildon would differ after agreeing a move to an empty shop.
While the move and refit might be a change for regular customers of both the Premier shop and Post Office, they won't have to travel any further to get to the new premises.

The Shildon Premier and Post Office will move from 36 Redworth Road to 18 Redworth Road - a slight adjustment down the road.
Announcing the change, the Post Office said: "Post Office has agreed to relocate the Shildon Post Office to a new location - 18 Redworth Road, Shildon, DL4 2JE.
"The Postmaster wants to relocate the Premier store and Post Office from nearby 36 Redworth Road. The final arrangements are now being made.

"The postmaster firmly believes that the move will help secure continued access to Post Office services locally, and support the viability of their business.
"The new premises will be modern with increased retail space and better parking outside the premises."
The new branch will remain with the same Postmaster, and the opening hours of 8.30am-9pm Monday to Saturday and 9am-9pm on Sunday will remain the same.
