A woman was left in hospital with a broken jaw after an attack in the street by a man on Monday (September 11).
The incident occurred on Catcote Road in Hartlepool at around 9.50pm, with officers from Cleveland Police now appealing for information about the serious assault.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a young woman was assaulted in Hartlepool.

It was reported that a man punched the victim leaving her with a broken jaw, which saw her need hospital treatment.
Anyone with information or anyone with any relevant CCTV footage is urged to contact Cleveland Police, quoting reference number 182691.
