Two people were taken to hospital following a crash between two cars on a busy North East route today (Thursday, September 14).
Emergency services were called to the A171 Birk Brow Bank, near Guisborough, at about 1pm.
The North East Ambulance Service confirmed it sent two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader.

The eastbound carriageway remained closed between Margrove Road to Jenny Frisk Road until about 3.30pm.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "We were called at around 1pm this afternoon to the A171 Birk Brow road following a two-vehicle collision.
"The road was closed while emergency services deal with the incident and was reopened at about 3pm.

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A171 Birk Brow Road shortly before 1pm today (14 September).
"We dispatched two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader, and transported two patients to James Cook Hospital."
