A video showing a lucky escape for a bullock has gone viral after it caused a social media storm and has even found a place on BBC Radio 1.
The short video clip, which was initially posted to the Witton Castle Country Park Facebook page, shows the animal's legs in the air after it had fallen down a hole at the estate near Bishop Auckland.
Using just a pulley system and a tractor, a local farmer is seen lifting the bullock out of the hole by its leg.

After dangling for a couple of seconds during the one-minute and 34-second clip, the bullock is righted by the farmer, before the farm animal dashes away to join the rest of the herd.
While the seemingly smooth rescue might be second nature to those who have had to rescue livestock before, it captured the imagination of thousands online.
Having already amassed over 53,000 reactions, 2,700 comments and 6,000 shares online - it's safe to say that many people have enjoyed seeing how the animal was rescued - with some branding the farmer's rescue "a miracle" and "an amazing achievement".

Not only has the video captured the attention of social media, it has also been picked up by BBC Radio One, who used it on one of their programmes and want to remix it.
Despite the attention that the clip has garnered, including someone wanting to buy the rights to the video, Thomas Hague, general manager of Witton Castle Country Park, has insisted that the video was meant as "a little fun".
He has also admitted that featuring on BBC radio was "exciting" and "a little overwhelming".
