Families, farmers and food lovers were pictured at a bustling North East show yesterday (September 9), making the most of the heatwave.
It was a sunny and bright day at Unthank Park yesterday as crowds of people attended the first day of the Stanhope Show 2023.
Marking their 181st show this year, the two-day event aims to celebrate everything to do with Weardale farming, its people and entertainment.

Pictures from the day show visitors enjoying vintage marquees, food stalls, prize animal competitions, entertainment and even a Battle of Britain flypast.
Prize-winning animals including rabbits and birds were also photographed proudly next to their best in show rosettes.
General Secretary for Stanhope Show, Lisa Johnstone, spoke of the "record-breaking" Saturday organisers have experienced as they hope the second day of the show will be just as busy.
She said: "Stanhope Show is a real community event. The weather was great, it was lovely - it looks like it was a record-breaking Saturday for us.
"It's all about keeping the show going and supporting British farming traditions.
"As one of our committee members says: 'We may not be the biggest but we are the best'!"
This is a welcome change from last year's show, which took place just days after Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away, with organisers having to make the "tough decision" to run the show amidst the news as well as poor weather conditions.
"Last year was much more sombre, we had a two-minute silence on both days. It was a difficult time.
"This year, we are celebrating again, especially the fact that everyone is coming together here at Stanhope show and having fun."
Here are some pictures from the event yesterday - can you spot yourself?
