We've taken a look back in the archives to see how Darlington has changed since the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

Some of our pictures date back nearly half a century and it's fascinating to take a peek at town centre roads like West Row, High Row, Bondgate, Blackwellgate, and various other streets in the town.

Note the shops and cars and how the market has changed over that timeframe (alongside the dress sense of people, of course).
