Many will be wondering whether the hot temperatures will be around on Sunday but this is what the current weather forecast shows throughout the day:
- 7am – it will be cloudy with temperatures of 17C
- 10am – there is a 30% chance of a light shower and temperatures will rise to 19C
- 1pm – by the afternoon there will be sunny intervals and even higher temperatures of 21C
- 4pm – sunny intervals will continue
- 7pm – the sun will be out in full force and temperatures will lower to 19C
Overall, the Met Office says the outlook from Saturday (September 9) until Monday (September 11) will be: “Predominantly fine and dry Saturday. Sunny spells and heavy, possibly thundery, showers Sunday.
“Cloudier Monday with showery rain sinking southwards, potentially heavy and thundery. Warm. Cooler and cloudier along coasts.”

As the runners make their way to the finish line in South Shields, this is what the weather has in store:
- 7am – it will be cloudy with a 10% chance of rain and temperatures will be around 17C
- 10am – there is a 30% chance of a light shower and temperatures will begin to rise to 19C
- 1pm – sunny intervals by the afternoon and temperatures of 21C are expected
- 4pm – the sunny intervals will continue
- 7pm – the sun will stay throughout the evening and temperatures will slightly drop to 19C
