One woman has been taken to hospital following a crash which closed a County Durham road this evening.
Durham Police have confirmed a woman, 27, has been taken to hospital with a leg injury following a crash on J59 A167 in Aycliffe.
They confirmed they received a report of the one-vehicle crash at around 7:50pm and remain at the scene.
They said the incident involved a car colliding with a tree.
They also confirmed one woman had been taken to hospital with a leg injury.

They added police remained at the scene to clear the area, and expect the road to reopen soon.
