A man has denied two dangerous dog charges in court.
John Pickering, 50, will stand trial accused of being in charge of two XL bully dogs who allegedly injured a person and another dog on Redcar Beach on February 5.
Pickering, of Eastwood Road in Middlesbrough, pleaded "not guilty" to the dangerous dog charges when he appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Monday (September 4).

He was remanded in custody.
Nicola Banks, 38, who faces the same charges, was due in court on Monday, but the court heard that she was too unwell to attend.
Banks, of Middlesbrough, is now due to attend court to face her charges on September 18.
