A US Air Force jet has been spotted hovering over the North East - with images of the large plane appearing online.
Several days after the RAF carried out a training exercise from Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and throughout Teesside, a US Air Force plane was seen by members of the public flying over parts of Yarm, Middlesbrough, and Guisborough.
On Wednesday (August 30), several reports of a plane with the US flag insignia were made by people living in Teesside - with people posting on social media about hearing a big noise, before noticing the vehicle.

Taking to social media, one person said: "Has anyone else seen the large plane passing overhead?" while another added: "That noise sounded like a hurricane - it was so loud."
However, people got a little bit of clarity on Thursday (August 31), when Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen posted about a US Air Force Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey landing at Teesside International Airport.
Posting images of the plane, from photographer James Garthwaite, the Mayor said: "We've had a busy summer at Teesside International Airport with new passenger and cargo flights, but we had something a little bit different yesterday at our airport – a US Air Force Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey."
