Police have confirmed that a fifth man was arrested after a hearse and another vehicle were driven onto a football pitch last month - but have revealed that no one has yet been charged for the incident.
On Friday, July 21, Dunston UTS FC's game against Gateshead FC at the UTS Stadium, Dunston, was abandoned after a hearse and a Subaru were driven onto the pitch at half-time.
The vehicles were driven around in circles and leaflets were thrown, leaving fans shocked by what they'd witnessed.

Images and videos of the incident circulated after the incident - which saw men wearing balaclavas getting out of the hearse and making off in the Subaru, while the the hearse was left on the pitch.
Days after the shocking incident in July, Northumbria Police confirmed that four men had been arrested and bailed.

Three men, aged 19, 19 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of affray and a 41-year-old man was held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage.
All four males were released on bail as the investigation continued.
Today (Thursday, August 31), the police force said that a fifth man, 28, had since been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and released on bail as enquiries continue.
No one has yet been charged with any offences connected to the Dunston incident.
