Two people were taken to hospital after a crash between two cars at a County Durham crossroads on Wednesday (August 30) evening.
Emergency services were called to Sherburn Hill at around 6.15pm following reports of a crash at the crossroads connecting the B1283, East View, and Crime Rigg Bank.
The incident, which involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Mercedes A250, saw two patients from the Mercedes taken to University Hospital of North Durham.

Durham Police, County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, and the North East Ambulance Service confirmed that they attended the scene.
A North East Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision in Sherburn Hill, Durham last night (30 August) shortly after 6pm. We dispatched three ambulances and two patients were taken to University Hospital of North Durham."
A spokesperson for County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, added: "We received a call at 6.35pm on August 30 to assist our colleagues from Durham Constabulary and North East Ambulance Service with a Road Traffic Collision involving two vehicles.
"One fire engine from Durham Fire Station attended. The crew made the vehicles safe before leaving the scene at 7.47pm."
