A popular Teesside seaside pub has reopened following extensive renovation works.
The Ship, located on Saltburn Road, in Saltburn, has seen a six-figure investment to revitalise the watering hole - and now that doors have reopened, the public can expect a new look inside and out.
Situated just off the beautiful Saltburn beach, with direct access from the beach to the beer garden, the works have significantly transformed the pub's interior and the new beer garden.
Internally, the new look modern décor boasts a "fresh colour palette and all-new comfortable soft furnishings", plus an extended bar and snug area, giving the pub a "homely and cosy" atmosphere.

During the recent refurbishment, all internal rooms have been revamped, including the family room, which contains a large bar area with a beautiful bay window, and the new and improved champagne bar.
All of the internal modifications are in keeping with the style and history of the listed building, which looks out into Saltburn Village.
The beer garden now seats 250 people, with the addition of comfortable outdoor seating and a heated pergola with festoon lighting, designed to allow pub-goers to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and stunning view of the beach in all weathers.

The pub also has a new fish-and-chip shop and another separate bar nestled in the beer garden. The shop offers both eat-in garden or takeaway, meaning you have the option to enjoy fish and chips from the beachside beer garden or the comfort of your own home.
While the shoreside location is a major draw for customers, the pub is also located on a historic walking trail: Cleveland Way, which runs between Helmsley and the Brigg at Filey, skirting the North York Moors National Park. As a dog-friendly pub, four-legged friends and their owners are more than welcome to make the most of this prime location.
To mark the opening, the team at the Ship will launch a new drinks menu, featuring an extensive cocktail range, including Turbo Bellini, Midori Sour, Tropicolada and the non-alcoholic White Peach and Raspberry Cooler.

David Murphy, General Manager of The Ship said: “We are beyond excited to be reopening the Ship just in time for some August sunshine, and what better way to celebrate our opening than a live music weekend, with some great acts performing.
