TRAIN services in the North of England will come to a halt on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 September as ASLEF and RMT strike actions take place.
Northern has released a travel advice calendar from September 1 to 4 to inform customers of when services will be affected.
On Friday, September 1, there will be no Northern services as ASLEF members, mainly train drivers, stage a walkout.
Limited services will be available on Saturday, September 2, as RMT members, including train conductors, also go on strike.
Fleet displacement due to the previous day's RMT strike will cause disruptions to early morning services on Sunday, September 3.
For more detailed information about the strike and the limited service available on Saturday, September 2, customers are advised to visit www.northernrailway.co.uk/travel/strikes.
Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, said: “We can only apologise again for the disruption this strike action by ASLEF and the RMT will cause to our customers.”
