A man is to appear in court accused of class A drug supply following the seizure of what is suspected to be crack cocaine.
The 22-year-old man, from the Wirral on Merseyside, was arrested by police in Middlesbrough, following what the Cleveland force termed “proactive patrols”.
He was detained by neighbourhood officers on patrol in the Ayresome Gardens area.
During the arrest, the officers also recovered a quantity of what is suspected to be the crack form of cocaine.

The arrested man was charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to supply.
He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday, August 28).
