Whether you've got a Labrador or Lhasa Apso, a Cocker Spaniel or Border Collie, we want to see pictures of your dog to share online.
Here are some details about National Dog Day and some facts you may not know.
What is National Dog Day?
National Dog Day has been celebrated every August 26 since 2004, after it was founded by animal conservationist Colleen Paige.
Why August 26?
Colleen chose August 26 as it was the day that Colleen's family adopted their first dog from the animal shelter, when she was just 10-years-old.
Why are we celebrating?
The day is designed to celebrate all dogs, big and small.
According to the site, the mission is to help the public recognise the amount of dogs that need rescuing each year.
It's also here to show that dogs "put their lives on the line" for humans, as many work in airports and as police dogs in the public eye.
Send us a picture of your dogs
