A court has issued a community order against a shoplifter who stole over £1000 worth of items from a North Yorkshire Wilko branch.
Danielle Margaret Murray, 35, of Meadow Lane, Northallerton, pleaded guilty at York Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (August 22) of stealing items worth £1145, between January 16 and March 7 of this year, from Wilko in Northallerton.
During the court hearing, Murray indicated a guilty plea, which the court took into account when imposing the sentence.

As part of her community order, Murray will need to complete rehabilitation, alongside carrying out 80 hours of unpaid work within the next twelve months.
In addition to the order, Murray was also ordered to pay compensation of £1145 to Wilko's, a victim surcharge of £114, and £85 in Crown Prosecution Service costs.
