Fire crews were called to rescue a cat stuck on a roof - only for it to climb down itself by the time they arrived.
The adventurous moggie found itself on the roof of a home on High Street in Northallerton on Tuesday (August 22) morning after it climbed through an open window.
The mischievous mouser was not responding to calls from its owners and fire crews were called to the scene.

On arrival, they found that the tabby had once again decided to cooperate and had made its way back through the window with all its nine lives still intact.
A spokesperson for the North Yorkshire Fire Service said: “An officer has attended a domestic property after a cat climbed through a window and onto the roof. Cat was not responding to owners.
“A crew from Northallerton was requested but on their arrival the cat self-rescued and climbed back through the window.”
