A Durham lad was beaming with pride on Tuesday (August 22) when his photo was unveiled as part of a new campaign to be seen by thousands of commuters every day.
Five-year-old Rupert Turner’s picture features in a new exhibition launched by LNER to mark its 100th anniversary by celebrating 100 years of firsts.
The gallery includes written stories, audio recordings and photography capturing the firsts from a century of transforming travel of the past and present on the East Coast of the UK.

One of the heartwarming tales captures five-year-old Rupert Turner who travelled to London to watch his first ever West End show, Newsies.
The Durham lad even caught one of the show's props and met his favourite actor backstage.
Touching pictures show Rupert smiling in front of his picture in the middle of the train station on after it was unveiled.
Other stories shared include a chance encounter because of a missed train which sparked a four-year relationship to tales of collecting first pets, pioneering hair salons on Flying Scotsman and even Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies travelling to London to be presented with her MBE.
