Police are appealing after a driver travelling the wrong way down the A66 collided with a car transporter before fleeing the scene.
The incident, which happened at around 7.30am on Friday, July 21, involved a Volvo car transporter that was heading towards Scotch Corner Services, and a white Volkswagen Crafter that was travelling on the wrong side of the road.
North Yorkshire Police said the Volkswagen Crafter initially stopped at scene but then drove off in the direction of Cumbria on the A66.

The driver of this vehicle has failed to report the collision and has not provided any details.
Officers are appealing for anyone who either witnessed the collision or has any information about the Volkswagen Crafter, including its registration number, to get in touch as soon as possible.
