A member of staff said: “Here at Meynell & Mason Funeral Directors we followed the story of how Jack Woodley sadly lost his life and felt great empathy of how his heartbroken Mother and family were feeling at this tragic waste of a young life.
"Through following the story we became aware that some of Jack's friends were raising money for a bench in his memory, somewhere where people could go and reflect and remember.
"We also became aware that Jack's Mum wanted something that would highlight to people how senseless these actions can be and the tragic consequences that they can bring.
"We are holding this event to raise money toward the memorial bench for Jack and to raise awareness of knife crime and the devastating results it can incur."
The event will take place on September 3 between 12 and 4pm.
The murder of Jack Woodley horrified the whole country.
Ten teenagers were found guilty of murder after beating and stabbing an 18-year-old.
He was surrounded and isolated by the gang of youths who chased him down an alleyway near the Britannia Inn in Houghton-le-Spring, Sunderland.
He had been attending the Houghton Feast with his girlfriend.

At his funeral Jack’s brother Jayden said: “You will always be my hero.
“If I could do anything to get my cheeky but charming big brother back I would, but sadly I can’t.
“Love you Jack. I don’t need to say goodbye because I know you will always be beside me all of the way bro.”
