A 'fed up' North East café has condemned teenagers who have chosen to joyride one of its boats for over a week.
Locke Park Café Redcar have been left frustrated after teens have stolen one of their boats and taken it around the lake for the last eight evenings in a row.
In an emotional plea to the teenagers, their parents and the wider community, the venue has said it is "deflated, drained, and so bored of it now".

Taking to social media over the weekend, Locke Park Café Redcar said: "Last night, for the eighth night in a row, one of our boats were taken for a joy ride round the lake.
"This may not sound like a big deal, but I’ll break it down.
"Every time a boat is taken to do so, the boat must be damaged, or our decking damaged in order to free the boat.
"There is only so much damage the boats will withstand before they become unusable and have a titanic moment."
The café say that they have spent significant money upgrading their venue, but have had to involve the police on four separate occasions, alongside two reports to the council.

The café's post added: "It’s teenagers, not always the same ones, over the past week they vary in age from approx 12-18 years on different nights.
"The man hours it then takes to retrieve boats, repair boats, trail CCTV to find who it was, police reports, cleaning the boats.
"We can’t keep taking these hits on a daily basis."
As well as issuing the emotional plea, they revealed that it could be the last year of providing boats on the lake, as "any profit we made as a business has been wiped out by these events. So it’s just no longer viable unless things change."
The post from the venue concluded: "So we ask you all to please tell your teens to stay away, before they ruin it for everyone and we simply just take the temptation away forever."
