Crowds dressed in their favourite attire flocked to enjoy Hardwick Festival as it got underway last night (Friday, August 19).
This year, for its 11th edition, the family-friendly festival has added an additional day with acts taking to the stage from Friday through to Sunday (August 18-20).
Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, fresh from his Manchester studio, got proceedings underway, while featured on the Treehouse Stage, local legends Smoove and Turrell.

The finale of the Friday's party was delivered by Hacienda Classical.
Festivalgoers are being treated to one of the event’s biggest line-ups to date with headliners including The Kooks, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Scouting for Girls and Mel C.
The event is also celebrating local talent with the likes of Andrew Cushin, Liam Fender – brother to Sam, Tom A Smith, The Pale White and The Redroom among the North East artists taking to the stage.
UPDATE - Gates will now open at early on Sunday at 10.30am to screen the Women's World Cup Final.
