Multiple fire engines have been scrambled to fight a fire which has broken out in Hartlepool.
The blaze has been seen from miles around with a pillar of black smoke rising into the sky.
Pictures from the scene show a number of firemen at the scene battling the fire.
One walker along Redcar beach captured just how large the smoke ploom is on the horizon.

A spokesperson from Hartlepool Community Fire Station confirmed that there was a crew on the scene dealing with the incident.

The fire apparently broke out on Windermere Road, but the cause is still unknown.
Cleveland Police have been approached for comment.
