Eagle-eyed fans of hit TV show Vera were suprised to see the cast filming on location at a popular North East coastal town today (Monday, August 14).
The crew of the popular ITV programme, which is busy filming its 13th series, has been taking to locations across the region in recent months, including in Hexham, Wylam and North Shields.
However, today, the filming crew picked on a side street in Redcar as their backdrop to film some of the scenes.

Star Brenda Blethyn, dressed in her trademark raincoat, was seen coming out of a building on the corner of Henry Street and Newcomen Terrace, near the Redcar Bandstand and Penguin Colony.

With her was David Leon, who has made a return to the cast.
Bystanders gathered to watch the filming, while many people were seen looking out from the windows. Several TV vans were at the town's Majuba Beach car park on Monday.
Vera has made its way into the top rankings of British telly over the last 12 years now, with the crime drama also finding a big fanbase worldwide.
The 12th series of Vera came to an end earlier this year and fans were excited to see David Leon make a shock return to the cast.
