A popular fast food restaurant has opened its third North East branch after having its official launch.
German Doner Kebab (GDK) swung open the doors to its Sunderland store on Wednesday (August 9), bringing its fast-casual dining experience to the coastal city.
The new restaurant is located at 244-246 High St W, Sunderland, with the opening creating 30 new jobs in the region.

The Sunderland branch will offer its customers a full dine-in experience, plus takeaway with click and collect and delivery, which will be available through GDK’s delivery partners.
The new restaurant in Sunderland is the brand’s 131st site in the UK overall, as it continues to bring the unique GDK experience to more locations throughout the country.
