A man accused of possessing an imitation firearm has been named for the first time after appearing in court.
Donatas Bukys, 39, of Stockton-on-Tees, appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Friday (August 4).
He is charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, in connection with a reported incident at the Metro Inns hotel in Portrack last Wednesday (August 2).

In the court documents, the charge reads: "Possess an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
"On 02/08/2023 at Metro Inn Stockton, had in your possession an imitation firearm, namely a black BB Gun, with intent, to cause fear and violence, to believe that unlawful violence would be used against another."
During the appearance on Friday, he was remanded in custody.
He also appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday (August 7), where the case was sent to Teesside Crown Court for trial on September 5, 2024.
