Three people were taken to hospital after a head-on collision near a school in Middlesbrough this evening (Sunday, August 6).
The serious car crash saw a major response from emergency services, including the police, the ambulance service, and the fire brigade.
The road was closed for hours this evening, but traffic is now flowing through the area again.

The incident took place outside of Captain Cook's Primary School, in Martin-in-Cleveland.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Stokesley Road shortly before 6 pm today (August 6).
"We dispatched two ambulance crews, a rapid response paramedic and a clinical team leader, and took three patients to James Cook Hospital."
