Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash on a County Durham road this evening,
North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) confirmed they received reports of a crash on the A688 in Bishop Auckland shortly after 7pm on Saturday (August 5).
The service said they deployed two ambulance crews to the scene.

They confirmed two people have been taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital following the incident.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A688 shortly after 7pm this evening (5 August).
"We dispatched two ambulance crews, who transported two patients to Darlington Memorial Hospital."
This comes after there were reports of a crash on the A688 in Bishop Auckland, with traffic queuing as a result according to AA traffic maps.
The Northern Echo have contacted Durham Police for more information on the incident.
