The partner of a man who tragically died after motorcycle crash has paid tribute to him saying he had “a heart of gold”.
Stephen Robson, 41, died in hospital after a collision in the Stanhope Road area of Low Simonside, Jarrow, close to the A19 shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, July 26.
Northumbria Police said emergency services attended the scene and he was found to have sustained serious injuries.
Stephen, who was a dad and originally from Jarrow but more recently had been living in South Shields, was taken to hospital by paramedics but died a short time later.
In a heartfelt tribute to him, Stephen’s partner Donna said today: “Stephen had a heart of gold and he would do anything for anyone.

“He loved animals, especially his dogs, and had a passion for life.
“Stephen also loved his motorbikes and had just recently started surfing as well.
“We had known each other all our lives and although we had only been partners for about a year, we were planning our lives together and were hoping to go on a cruise in the near future.”
Officers are continuing to appeal to witnesses to the collision to contact them.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage of traffic in the moments before Stephen was fatally injured.
Inspector Matthew Hough, of Northumbria Police’s Motor Patrols department, said: “This was a tragic incident and we would like to reiterate that our thoughts remain with Stephen’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. We will continue to offer them any support we can.
