A man has been taken to hospital with facial injuries following a two-vehicle collision on a North East road yesterday.
Northumbria Police have confirmed they received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Blind Lane, Houghton-le-Spring at around 7:30pm on Monday (July 31).
North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said they deployed one ambulance crew to the scene.

One man was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital with non-life-threatening facial injuries.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At about 7.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) we received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Blind Lane, Houghton-le-Spring.
“Emergency services attended the scene and one male was taken to hospital with non-life threatening facial injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the collision.”
A NEAS spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision last night shortly after 7:30pm on Blind Lane, Houghton Le Spring.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and took one patient to Sunderland Royal Hospital."
