Excited Vera fans were left in anticipation as the show's star confirmed the latest episode had wrapped filming this week.
Star of the hit ITV drama, Brenda Blethyn, confirmed the fifty-third episode of the series had finished filming on Friday (July 28).
The latest televised episode of the series aired back in February this year and fervent fans have been left wanting more ever since.
Blethyn announced the news in a post on Twitter as she praised the episode's director as one of her favourites.

She said: "Just wrapped on Vera episode 53 directed by Jermain Julien.
"He has shot into my list of favourite directors. a total joy. Thank you."
The episode is the second of three set to be released as part of series 13, slated to air in 2024.
Fans of the show reacted to the news by expressing their excitement and praising the star.
One said: "This is wonderful news. We’ve seen every episode on Brit Box
"[We've] have had our fingers crossed that you’d be back for MORE Vera!
"Happy, relieved and delighted that we’re going back to Northumberland!"
