A major road in Darlington will be closed for five days from today for resurfacing work.
Neasham Road between Smithfied Road and Geneva Road will be closed for the following five days.
Warning signs and diversions will be in place, and Darlington Borough Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by the closure.
A spokesperson for Darlington Borough Council said: “From next Monday (July 31) we are starting work to resurface Neasham Road between Smithfield Road and the Geneva Road roundabout.

“There will be two way lights for five days and from Monday 7 August the road will be closed for five days.
“Warning signs will be in place in the run up to the work and there will be a signed diversion.
“Apologies for any inconvenience.”
