A fire in Middlesbrough last night led to a road closure and emergency services rushing to the scene.
The incident occurred last night (Sunday, July 30) just before 9pm on Albert Road.
Five fire engines attended the scene and were there for around two and a half hours.
Two buildings were on fire and damaged by fire and smoke, and it is understood no one was injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said: “We were called to an incident on 30/07/2023 at 20.59 on Albert Road in Middlesbrough.
“Five fire engines in attendance from Middlesbrough, Thornaby, Grangetown and Coulby Newham.
“Two buildings damaged by fire and smoke.
“All persons accounted for.
“10 breathing apparatus, two hose reels, two jets and positive pressure ventilation used. Investigations will begin as per our usual procedure.
“We left the scene at 23.36.”
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “We were requested to assist Cleveland Fire Brigade at around 9:20pm last night to assist with traffic whilst they dealt with a fire on Albert Road in Middlesbrough.
“No further assistance was required from police other than that.”
