One of ITV’s popular entertainment shows which showcases some of the UK’s most talented children is to be “shelved” after six years, according to reports.
The Voice Kids usually features a star-studded panel including judges Danny Jones, Pixie Lott, Ronan Keating and will.i.am but will not be on our TV screens in 2024.
The show had a famous contestant this year, seeing Gavin and Stacey's Neil The Baby who is played by actor Oscar Hartland, now 14, performing a solo audition.
Shout out to our final four and their next level talents! Niamh, Will, Hayla, Shanice and Andrea, you're all amazing ❤️ #TheVoiceKidsUK pic.twitter.com/hDxdAMnQvB

ITV's The Voice Kids to take a break in 2024
A source told The Sun: “The show had a good run and had its own fanbase, but execs are keen to free up scheduling space for other new programming to keep ideas as fresh as possible.
“The cast have great memories from the series, but have plenty of other projects to keep them busy.”
It comes as the latest series recently came to an end, with twin sister duo Andrea and Shanice Nyandoro being crowned the winners of 2023 by the public.
It meant a lot to their coach will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas who finally claimed a win for the first time after seven series.
I’m so proud and happy for my twins!!! They were absolutely fabulous… Shanice and Andrea are the definition of harmony… https://t.co/rXl8fQlAas

In total, 16 children who made it through the blind auditions made their way onto the stage to show they had what it takes, hoping to become champions.
Andrea and Shanice, 11, were told along with the other finalists that they would all would be getting a special holiday to Universal Orlando Resort in Florida by host Emma Willis.
Emma, who also presented Big Brother is married to Busted star Matt Willis and was announced as the show’s host in 2016.

According to The Mirror, she said at the time: “Hosting The Voice Kids will be like being at my house on a Saturday night; lots of kids singing, with me trying to keep some kind of order. Thankfully, the musical genius that is will.i.am is there to bring some expertise to the table. It’s going to be pretty awesome."
Jessie J, Paloma Faith and Spice Girls icon Melanie C are just some of the celebrities who have also appeared as judges since The Voice Kids first premiered in 2017.
An ITV spokesperson told The Mirror: "After seven fantastic series on ITV1 and ITVX, The Voice Kids is taking a break in 2024.
"We’re working with Lifted Entertainment on The Voice UK for 2024 and development of The Voice branded specials."
