One person has tragically died on train tracks at Middlesbrough station.
Emergency crews, including the air ambulance, were called to the line in Middlesbrough following an incident at around 1.45pm on Friday (July 28) afternoon.
Police and paramedics attended but sadly one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Their death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Middlesbrough Station at 1:45pm today following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the air ambulance arriving at the scene shortly before 2pm with fire crews also in attendance.
Northern Rail said services would be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes due to emergency crews working on the line.

A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 1.39pm this afternoon (Friday 28 July) to reports of an incident at Middlesbrough Railway Station.
“We dispatched one ambulance crew, a clinical team leader, and requested support from our colleagues at the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS), who attended by air.”
A GNAAS spokesperson added: "Our critical care team was activated at 1.48pm to an incident at Middlesbrough train station. We had a paramedic and doctor on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 1.54pm.”
