PLANS have been submitted to Durham County Council for permission to build two properties in the village of Iveston, County Durham.
George F. White have been instructed by applicant Robert Young to submit a detailed planning application for the erection of two detached dwellings on land to the south of Iveston Lane, Iveston, near Consett, with associated parking and amenity space.
The application site is situated to the west of Iveston, adjacent to Iveston Lane and close to the junction to the A691.

The site is bounded to the west by the A691, the connecting road between Consett and Durham. Directly to the west lies agricultural land, with Consett being situated slightly beyond that. The settlement of Iveston is comprised of several traditional cottages with several newer properties that have been built in a style sympathetic to the area.
The proposed scheme is of a high-quality design, which has responded to the opportunities and constraints provided by the site and its context. The architectural team has given consideration to the planning policy context and character analysis of the site and wider village.
