A man has been taken to hospital for a head injury following an alleged assault in a North East cafe bar.
Northumbria Police have released an image of a man wanted in connection with an assault in Horticulture on Market Lane, Newcastle at 10pm on Saturday (May 6).
Officers received a report a man had been pushed and had a glass smashed over his head by another man following a verbal dispute at the venue.

The victim suffered a cut to his head and was taken to hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the incident has since been launched.
The man police wish to speak with was in the venue at the time of the assault and may be able to help them with their enquiries.
