A suspected drink driver has been arrested after a car was spotted being driven erratically in Hartlepool.
The incident occurred on Winterbottom Avenue in the town at around 3:30am this morning (Thursday, July 20).
A member of the public called the police to alert them that an Audi was being driven erratically.
Police attended the scene, and a 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and she remains in custody at present.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “A suspected drink driver was arrested after a car was spotted being driven erratically in Hartlepool.
“Officers were called to Winterbottom Avenue in Hartlepool at around 3.30am this morning (Thursday, July 20), following reports an Audi was driving erratically.
“Police attended and a 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She remains in police custody at this time.”
